Amazon MGM is working on a new feature film that will expand the successful series into a full-length motion picture, and John Krasinski will reprise his role as CIA analyst Jack Ryan. Michael Kelly, who is presently negotiating a comeback, and Wendell Pierce, who will reprise his role, will join Krasinski, who won praise for his performance in the Amazon Prime Video series.
Andrew Bernstein, who helmed the second season of "Jack Ryan," as well as episodes of Netflix's "Ozark" and HBO's "Welcome to Derry," will direct the movie. One of the series' seasoned writers, Aaron Rabin, wrote the screenplay, which adds to the series' intricate plot.
"Jack Ryan" is among the top three most-watched shows worldwide on Amazon Prime Video, demonstrating its considerable success. Fans now have a new opportunity to enjoy the exciting exploits of Tom Clancy's well-known figure thanks to the franchise's enormous leap from television to the big screen.
Andrew Form is part of the production crew, which also comprises Krasinski and Allyson Seeger under the Sunday Night brand. Alongside John Kelly and Carlton Cuse, Skydance's David Ellison and Dana Goldberg will serve as executive producers on the film, which will also be in association with Paramount Pictures.
Having written, produced, and directed the fantasy movie "IF" and the "A Quiet Place" franchise, Krasinski also has a strong foundation in filmmaking and contributes his wealth of expertise to the project. The anticipation for the movie is increased by the participation of seasoned actors Pierce and Kelly, who are both represented by prestigious agencies.
This new endeavor is expected to give the "Jack Ryan" series a fascinating new depth by fusing well-known characters with original narrative in what is sure to be a highlight of the film.
