Diddy's Lavish Gifts to "Jane" Masked Alleged Abuse and Control, Witness Testifies

The ongoing federal sex crimes trial involving Sean "Diddy" Combs has taken a dramatic turn with the testimony of a former girlfriend, identified as "Jane" to protect her privacy. Jane's story paints a picture of lavish gifts and financial support intertwined with allegations of abuse and control. While living a life that appeared enviable from the outside, Jane claims the true cost was far greater than designer handbags and luxury accommodations.

Jane, compelled to testify by subpoena, is receiving legal representation paid for by Combs himself, despite her status as a prosecution witness. She maintains she has no plans to pursue a lawsuit against him. During her testimony, she detailed receiving over $150,000 from Combs throughout their relationship, a dynamic she characterizes as creating financial codependency. She also stated that dating Combs forced her to curtail her own career as an online influencer.

Her testimony suggests a pattern where lavish gifts, including Bottega Veneta bags and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry, masked a darker reality of alleged physical abuse and sexual exploitation. Jane alleges instances of being punched, choked, kicked, and dragged by her hair. She also testified to being coerced into participating in "hotel nights," where she was allegedly pressured to engage in sexual acts with multiple men over extended periods.

During cross-examination, the defense attorney questioned Jane about the value of luxury goods she received, pointedly asking if she felt slighted compared to gifts given to other women. Jane's stark response: "No, I only got trauma," underscored the alleged emotional and physical toll of the relationship.

Jane also described a birthday celebration in February 2023 that allegedly devolved into a drug-fueled "freak off," a term prosecutors have used to describe orchestrated sexual performances. Despite Combs arranging a photoshoot and gifting her expensive jewelry, Jane stated she craved genuine romance outside of hotel settings.

Adding another layer to the complex dynamic, Jane revealed that Combs continues to pay the rent on the 5,300 square-foot home she has lived in since their "love contract." She alleges Combs uses these rent payments as a form of control, a constant reminder of his financial power over her.

Jane also recounted a "make-up" trip to the islands following disagreements, a trip she described as quickly turning into a planned "night of debauchery." Despite expecting a romantic getaway, she claims Combs pressured her to invite one of the sex workers they had previously hired to join them.

While Combs invested $20,000 in Jane's fashion line, she claims he discouraged her from pursuing her career as an online influencer, particularly on platforms associated with sex work. She believes his disapproval significantly hindered her earning potential.
